At Heels and Tech, we are committed to closing the gender gap and ensuring that every woman has the opportunity to participate in the digital economy. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Incubator Program focused on FemTech and Family Tech!

This first edition is sponsored by HelpMum, a social enterprise that is focused on reducing infant and maternal mortality across Africa. HelpMum understands the importance of female and family centered technology innovations in addressing health and wellness needs that will enable families to thrive. With health innovative solutions of its own, such as, its Vaccination tracker, ADVISER, the HelpMum chatbot, and HelpMum E-learning platform, HelpMum is at the forefront of female and family-centered technology innovations.

FemTech Innovation

We believe that African women should innovate for ourselves. Our FemTech track is designed to empower women to develop innovative solutions that address the unique health and wellness needs of women and girls across the continent. Examples of possible FemTech Products Smart Breast Pump, Fertility Tracking Device, Menopause Management Solutions etc.

Family Tech Focus

As a mother of three, our founder understands the importance of family. That's why we're also focusing on Family Tech, with the goal of supporting women entrepreneurs who are developing innovative solutions to help families thrive in the digital age. Examples: Virtual Family Games and activities, Digital Memory keeping tools, Family safety device, Parental control and monitoring software

Alice Zhang

Alice Zhang is the co-founder and CEO of Verge Genomics, a biotech company that uses artificial intelligence and genomics to discover new treatments for neurological diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Tania Boler

Tania Boler is the co-founder and CEO of Elvie, a FemTech company that develops innovative health and wellness products for women. Elvie's flagship products include the Elvie Trainer, a pelvic floor exercise device, and the Elvie Pump, a wearable breast pump.

Julia Cheek

Julia Cheek is the founder and CEO of Everlywell, a health and wellness company that offers at-home lab testing kits for a variety of health conditions, including hormone health, fertility, and sexual health, empowering women to take control of their health from the comfort of their homes.
