It was a dream come true getting the opportunity to learn Business Analysis with Heels and Tech truly. Truth is that I didn’t know there was such a role until I saw your ad on Christmas day. I decided to go through the website and the outline of Business Analysis given was exactly the type of thing I had been trying to articulate to friends when I tried to articulate what next I wanted to do career wise. I appreciate how robust the training sessions have been. It’s truly been a highly enlightening few weeks. I feel that I just got unraveled. Sure, We worked on improving the passport renewal process for Nigerians in Canada. Our proposal was to fully automate the process such that document submission and biometrics capture are carried out on the website from the comfort of office or home. This will solve many problems that are faced currently, from long queues, to the convenience for pregnant, nursing moms or the physically challenged.

My favourite feature of my group’s proposal was the passport preview option such that the applicant can see how the passport will turn out before approving to the system for processing.

We did the documentation – business case, benchmarking, gap analysis, current and future state, created our personas, user stories, use cases, created the future state process flow and made attempts at wireframes and prototypes.

Petrina has been amazing with guiding and facilitating the classes and sharing her experience. I also think it will be nice to feature another facilitator alongside, in order to get another perspective from a BA angle or maybe someone who is a product designer or a UI/UX designer to handle some aspects of the training.
