Senior Business Analyst- 3 year Fixed Term Contract
The University of Oxford is looking for a highly effective Senior Business Analyst to join the team in IT Services, to support and develop the HR systems and processes which play a key role across the University.

About the Role
Senior Business Analysts at Oxford University work collaboratively with business representatives, end-users, project teams, and suppliers to deliver solutions that align with university strategic priorities and Oxford’s Digital Transformation programme, which is reimagining the culture, processes and technology underpinning all it does. Working within the Administration portfolio of the programme, we now have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Senior Business Analyst.
- You will play a critical role in the definition, support and implementation of primarily HR business systems and solutions that support the administration of the University. Â This is a critical time, with the Digital Transformation programme looking to improve, modernise and future-proof People and Finance Services within the University.

About You
- As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have considerable experience of working as a Business Analyst throughout the project lifecycle to plan business analysis activities, understand business problems, elicit and document both high-level and detailed requirements and model business processes.
- You will have proven experience of working with HR Systems, ideally PeopleXD or Core HR, and HR processes. Experience of working within a large and complex transformation programme would be highly regarded.
- You will have experience mapping and designing processes for fast-paced and complex operational teams and providing analysis on opportunities for improvement.
- You will have an understanding of the role that HR has within a complex organization and/or environment such as Higher Education and how systems and technology may offer opportunities to improve services and underlying processes.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to shape your messaging to different audiences, build consensus and bring teams together to make real change at the University.
- You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex issues and propose effective workable solutions, building on your experience of working in a complex environment with a wide range of parallel and mutually dependent activities.
- You will have proven experience of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships so that you can understand user needs and represent their voice. Your proven negotiation skills will help with defining the scope of the work and agree on competing user requirements.
- You will be adaptable and flexible in your approach, able to respond to changing demands and priorities. You will be a self-starter and able to bring clarity where there is ambiguity.

This is a hybrid role meaning that whilst you will be based in our offices in central Oxford – and will be expected to come to site as required for key project activities and practice meetings – you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
