Job Summary:
The People Strategic Partner (PSP) is responsible for serving as a strategic advisor and consultant to business leaders, aligning People initiatives with Shine Early Learning’s (SEL) business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of SEL business operations, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence and drive change. The PSP will provide expert People guidance on a wide range of topics, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and organizational development. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, People Strategic Partners, the PSP is a key member of the People
leadership team, instrumental in shaping the organization’s culture and contributing to its overall success.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with business leaders to understand their goals and challenges; develops and implements People strategies that support business objectives and drive organizational performance.
  • Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Partners with business leaders to identify talent needs, develop succession plans, and implement talent development programs; supports recruitment efforts and ensures the selection of top talent.
  • Leads the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning; provides coaching and feedback to managers and employees to enhance performance.
  • Assesses organizational needs and design and implement initiatives to improve team effectiveness, employee engagement, and organizational culture.
  • Supports business leaders in managing change and transformation initiatives; provides expertise in change management practices to ensure successful implementation and adoption of changes.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and employment laws; provides guidance on HR/People policies and procedures and supports the development and implementation of new policies.
  • Utilizes People data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders and tracks and reports on key People metrics and trends.
  • Develops and implements initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention; conducts employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve People processes and services; leads and participates in People projects and initiatives to enhance the employee experience and drive business success.
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

Supervision

  • Supervises assigned department personnel. Includes the following responsibilities, but are not limited to: hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by direct reports.
  • Educates direct reports on all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Meets with assigned staff regularly to identify and resolve problems, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures.
  • Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field required.
  • SPHR / SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Five years of direct Human Resources Management experience to include progressive PSP expertise; experience working in Head Start or early childhood education/related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a professional setting required; demonstrated experience in change management and organizational development preferred.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 20% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.

Salary Range: $85,145-$110,688
