About the Role:
As a Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of key product initiatives that drive measurable outcomes on the Orijin platform. Your focus will be equally split between strategy and execution, working to expand our product offerings and increase user engagement and delight. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX, marketing, and external stakeholders, to drive product adoption and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Product Vision & Strategy:Â Lead the development of a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with company goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a product roadmap with both short- and long-term goals, focusing on measurable outcomes for customers and learners. Incorporate market research and user feedback into the strategy to guide future product direction.
- Prioritize Product Features:Â Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and improvements based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. Leverage data and product management frameworks like weighted scoring or the Kano model to make informed decisions.
- Product Lifecycle Management:Â Oversee the entire lifecycle of product development, from discovery, ideation, and feature development through to launch, post-launch analysis, and iteration. Establish clear success metrics and continuously refine products to improve user engagement and business outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Â Collaborate with engineering, UX, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of product development and go-to-market strategies. Align team efforts toward the successful delivery of products, fostering strong communication to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Act as a Product Advocate: Serve as a champion for Orijin’s products. Clearly communicate the product vision, progress, and impact to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Belief in Orijin’s mission to reduce recidivism and improve the life chances of incarcerated learners and returning citizens through education and skills-based learning.
- 3-5 years of product management experience, ideally in a SaaS or educational technology setting.
- Proven ability to identify user needs and pain points in undefined areas, and turn insights into strategic business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive both strategy and execution in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Authorized for work in the United States.
Location
- Remote (Eastern Time working hours preferred. Orijin has a NYC office and ~30% of staff are based in NYC)
- Travel: 2-4 times per year.Â
$110,000 – $115,000 a year
Eligible for 5% yearly bonus
