UI/UX Specialist (Enterprise & Governance Systems)

Role Overview

The company is an institutional governance and reporting infrastructure platform for real-world assets. We build systems used by trustees, fund managers, and regulated institutions where clarity, traceability, and correctness matter more than visual novelty.

We are seeking a UI/UX Specialist to design clear, disciplined, and defensible user experiences across complex, role-based workflows. This is not a consumer branding role. It is an enterprise systems design role focused on usability under regulatory and operational constraints.

The UI/UX Specialist will work closely with Product and Engineering to translate governance logic into interfaces that are intuitive, auditable, and institution-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  1. UX Design for Enterprise Workflows
  • Design end-to-end user flows across governance, reporting, and oversight use cases.
  • Translate complex rules, permissions, and system states into clear, legible interfaces.
  • Prioritise clarity, consistency, and error prevention over visual experimentation.
  • Design for multi-role users with distinct permissions and responsibilities.
  1. UI Design & Design Systems
  • Produce clean, consistent UI designs aligned with the company’s infrastructure first posture.
  • Build and maintain a lightweight design system to support scalability and consistency.
  • Ensure accessibility, readability, and usability across dashboards, tables, and reports.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are practical and faithfully implemented.
  1. Documentation & Design Rationale
  • Document design decisions, assumptions, and constraints clearly.
  • Explain design choices, especially where governance, auditability, or compliance is involved.
  • Support Product Managers with design inputs for PRDs and workflow definitions.
  1. Collaboration & Iteration
  • Work closely with Product Managers to interpret requirements accurately.
  • Partner with Engineering to iterate designs based on technical realities.
  • Support demos and institutional walkthroughs when required.
  • Incorporate feedback methodically without introducing inconsistency or UI drift.

Design Authority & Escalation

  • Day-to-day design execution and iteration sit within the Product and Engineering teams.
  • Escalation to the Founder is limited to:

Design decisions that affect institutional perception or regulatory interpretation.

Cross-platform design doctrine and long-term consistency.

Performance Metrics Usability & Clarity

  • Reduction in user confusion and clarification requests.
  • Clear visual hierarchy and predictable interactions across workflows.

Consistency & Scalability

  • Adherence to design system standards.
  • Reduced inconsistency across modules and releases.

Execution Quality

  • Designs delivered on time and aligned with product specifications.
  • Smooth handoff to engineering with minimal interpretation gaps.

Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Experience designing enterprise software, internal tools, or B2B platforms.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy environments is a strong advantage.
  • Strong grasp of UX principles for complex workflows and role-based systems.
  • Ability to balance usability with institutional and regulatory constraints.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in early-stage, evolving environments.

What This Role Is Not
