Description
ICF is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work within a dynamic and highly innovative team environment in our Utility Programs and Services group. The Technical Business Analyst will support tasks within the software development cycle and be responsible for system data together with the business intelligence it provides. This position supports project delivery on IT projects for the energy efficiency and utility sectors and will contribute to a team that brings high-quality products and innovative solutions to our clients.Â
You may be required to participate in periodic drug testing and background checks. Â
What you will be doing:
- Support all aspects of the software development cycle including requirements, design, testing, and delivery of energy efficiency tracking and reporting toolsÂ
- Communicate regularly and effectively with team members as to the status of various tasks, including leading status update meetingsÂ
- Work with stakeholders of IT systems to define the system requirements and assist in identifying the best design approachÂ
- Develop an understanding of the client processes and procedures and help identify improvements relative to technologyÂ
- Understand the capabilities and application of ICF’s IT systems and support a team of senior technologists to deliver solutions for clients Â
- Be the first point of contact for users experiencing issues or requesting updates, provide one-on-one technical assistance and/or delegate tasks to the appropriate contact as necessary Â
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in (Business Administration, IT, Computer Science or related field) andÂ
- 3+ years of experience with technical or quantitative subject areasÂ
- ORÂ
- 5+ years of experience with technical or quantitative subject areasÂ
- 3+ years of experience prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and time sensitive assignments and deadlinesÂ
- Ability to write basic SQL, HTML, CSS scripts and codeÂ
- Experience with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, SharePoint and/or SmartsheetÂ
What we would like you to have:
- Experience/Exposure in the utility, energy, and/or energy efficiency sectors is a plusÂ
- Strong customer service focus, project planning, attention to detail and organizational skillsÂ
- Effective time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlinesÂ
- Experience with testing software, tracking issues and working with developers to ensure that requirements are being met and a high-quality product produced Â
- Experience with content management systems, including user roles, configuration, and content editingÂ
- Demonstrated consulting experienceÂ
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in MS Office products, such as Excel, Visio, Teams and PowerPointÂ
- Experience developing standard documentation, including requirement and design specifications, use cases, test plans and scripts and other supporting system documentationÂ
- Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment and to coordinate amongst diverse program stakeholdersÂ

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:$72,402.00 – $123,084.00
