The EVAAS team is a specialized division at SAS that focuses exclusively on education solutions, and we partner with state education agencies and districts across the country to support their analytic, consulting, and reporting needs. You will serve as customer liaison on projects to assure success throughout the entire customer life cycle. You will interact with clients/customers, staff, management, and applicable departments at SAS, leveraging domain and industry expertise, knowledge of the sales cycle, and the concept of business solution selling.
Your duties will include fully managing customer expectations, supporting large-scale projects and managing smaller scale projects using win/win negotiation principles. Also included in your duties will be conducting assessments, presales, and implementation activities that require matching skills with specific agendas, services, requirements, and tasks; identifying and reviewing assignments of team members for these activities, including; adding domain, administration, and contracts expertise; working with account management teams as needed to assist with development of proposals for software and services deals; completing risk assessments and participating in deal review sessions; assuming fiscal responsibility for projects and ensuring that quality assurance and test plans are included; developing, communicating, and tracking all aspects of project plans with the project team; resolving conflicts between the project and other organizational units; and overseeing activities with respect to customer satisfaction, change and knowledge management, as well as the overall summary for each engagement.

As a Project Manager, EVAAS you will:
- Develop detailed project plans and requirements documentation to monitor and track project progress.
- Drive organization of all project resources and tooling to supporting each customer implementation you are responsible for.
- Provide direction and support to project team to ensure accomplishment of agreed upon goals, objectives, and deadlines.
- Report on progress of project to all stakeholders by presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
- Successfully manage relationships with the client and all stakeholders.
- Facilitating and coordinating efforts within each project across functional teams using proactive/creative management of issues.
- Ensures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any business, marketing, education, engineering, or computer science-related field
- 5 or more years of experience in a customer-facing project management centered role
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Experience with creating templated documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience with task management systems (JIRA, ServiceNow) and an expertise in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with full-cycle project management of software development projects in a hosted environment
- Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion (Less than 10%)

Preferred qualifications

- Familiarity with working with data and structured databases
- Experience working with remote resources
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Experience with EVAAS and value-added (highly preferred)
- Experience as project manager in a software development environment
- Experience working directly with K12 educational institutions or departments of education
