This position is remote. Salary: $90,000 – 95,000/year We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer with experience in Lectora and a Public Trust clearance to join our team and support a federal agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality instructional materials and eLearning courses that meet the needs of the agency’s diverse audience. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, expertise in Lectora authoring software, and the ability to work within the constraints of federal requirements and guidelines. Responsibilities
- Develop and design engaging, learner-centric instructional materials, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions
- Apply instructional design models and theories to create effective learning experiences that meet learning objectives and outcomes
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze learner requirements to tailor instructional content accordingly
- Utilize Lectora to build, maintain, and enhance eLearning modules and interactive content
- Ensure Lectora courses are SCORM-compliant and integrate seamlessly with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Create and curate content, including text, graphics, audio, and video, ensuring it is accurate, relevant, and engaging
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate content and ensure instructional integrity
- Conduct thorough reviews and testing of instructional materials to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to federal guidelines and standards
- Implement feedback from learners and stakeholders to continually improve course quality and effectiveness
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing Lectora-based eLearning projects
- Demonstrated experience working with federal agencies or understanding federal guidelines and standards is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Lectora authoring software and other eLearning development tools
- Experience with SCORM, AICC, and xAPI standards
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their integration with eLearning content
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
