The Creative Fellowship places emerging talent on dedicated creative teams at Google, gaining exposure and hands-on experience across many of our in-house creative departments. The 6-month program aims to provide an enriching experience, while ushering in a dynamic network of creative talent with fresh perspectives and a strong “maker-first” approach.

Projects

The Creative Fellowship experience differs across participants. Each Fellow will be placed on a Google creative team and work on real projects under that team’s guidance. Here are a few projects that past Creative Fellows have worked on, across four teams: Brand Studio, Creative Lab, Google Cloud Brand & Creative, and YouTube Creative Studio.

YouTube Creative Studio’s mission is to create work that is impossible to ignore. With a team made up of Creatives, Producers, and Strategic thinkers, we work to bring the magic of our platform to life for our audiences—focusing on Shorts, Subscriptions, and Creators.

Role:

 

As a Video Storyteller, you’ll be a creative maker eager to get your hands dirty with new tech. You’ll bring brand stories to life by blending strong narratives with AI tools, handling everything from the first prompt to the final master. Whether you’re a filmmaker, editor, or motion pro, you’ll be a visual artist who uses AI to create original work, not just edit. You’ll embrace the experimentation of prototyping and vibe coding—peeking under the hood to bring fresh ideas to life across the YouTube brand, from social campaigns to big brand moments.

  • As of June 2026, you have work authorization in the United States. You do not require a visa nor sponsorship to work.
  • As of June 2026, you are of a legal age to work in the United States.
  • You can speak and write English fluently.
  • You will be living in the city in which you are applying for a role. (Locations are listed in the individual role descriptions.)
  • You are able to commit to a full-time position on the Creative Fellowship for six months (mid-June 2026 – mid-December 2026).
  • You understand that you will be employed as a freelancer via Google’s staffing partners.
  • You have read the FAQs and understand what’s required for the application process.
