Program Overview: The Tribaja Culture Leaders Program is a dynamic volunteer leadership role designed for passionate individuals committed to creating opportunities for career advancement in tech for underrepresented communities. As a Culture Leader, you will serve as the inclusion in tech lead for your city, cultivating community, building your city’s “tribe,” and driving local partnerships and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Cultivation: Build and foster a tech community in your city, supporting career advancement opportunities for underrepresented groups.
- Event Leadership: Organize and lead monthly events in your city, ensuring consistent community engagement.
- Partnership Development: Create and maintain partnerships with local tech and business organizations to amplify Tribaja’s mission.
- Representation: Attend local tech and business events as the face of Tribaja in your city.
- Leadership Meetings: Participate in monthly leadership meetings to align with Tribaja’s goals and contribute to overall strategy.
- Volunteer Recruitment: Attend Diversitech and recruit at least one Brand Ambassador (BA) from your city to volunteer at events.

Qualifications:
- Passionate About Inclusion: A strong commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in tech.
- Leadership & Organizational Skills: Proven ability to lead and organize community initiatives, events, and partnerships.
- City-Based: Must be located in one of the target cities:Â Washington DC, Dallas, San Francisco, Philadelphia, NYC, Miami, Newark or Jersey City, Colorado, Boston, Seattle, or Charlotte/Durham.
- Networking & Event Planning: Experience in organizing and attending tech events, as well as building local networks.
Commitments:
- Attend monthly leadership meetings with Tribaja.
- Lead monthly events for your city’s tech community.
- Foster and develop local partnerships to promote inclusion and tech advancement.
- Attend Diversitech and ensure your city has at least one volunteer.
