Technical Product Manager

Arul Health

Arul Health is building the navigator beside every patient — a knowledgeable, tireless, compassionate presence for people and families moving through serious illness. We are a small Boston-based team of builders, caregivers, and patients who believe technology should reduce suffering, not add to it.

We are hiring a Technical Product Manager to help us ship. You will be the connective tissue between product, engineering, clinical, and operations — translating what patients and navigators actually need into a coherent roadmap, then making sure the work lands.
This role is hands-on. You will write specs, unblock engineers, run pilots, sit next to navigators, and hold a high bar for what ships.

Healthcare is complicated. Cancer care is more so. We need someone who is comfortable holding technical depth in one hand and clinical context in the other, and who enjoys making hard, ambiguous work legible. Why Arul We take patients seriously. We protect dignity. We bring clarity to chaos. We advocate when people are exhausted and persist when the system stalls. If you want your work to matter at 2am, come build with us.

  • Own cross-functional programs end-to-end: scoping, planning, execution, and launch.
  • Partner with engineering on architecture, sequencing, and trade-offs. You should be technical enough to push back.
  • Translate patient, family, and navigator needs into clear product requirements and release plans.
  • Drive integrations with EHRs, labs, scheduling systems, and partner providers.
  • Stand up pilots with clinical partners and close the loop on what we learn.
  • Keep the whole team aligned on what we are building, why, and what is next.

  • 4+ years in technical PM, product, or engineering leadership roles: ideally some in healthcare, health tech, or other regulated environments.
  • Comfort reading code, debugging systems, and reasoning about APIs, data models, and reliability.
  • A track record of shipping in early-stage or 0→1 environments where the process did not yet exist.
  • Strong written communication. You turn chaos into a doc people actually read.
  • A bias for action and a deep sense of care for the people we serve.

  • Experience with HL7 / FHIR, EHR integrations (Epic, Cerner, Athena), or claims data.
  • Background in oncology, complex care, or patient navigation.
  • Lived experience as a patient or caregiver.
