About
The Creative Fellowship places emerging talent on dedicated creative teams at Google, gaining exposure and hands-on experience across many of our in-house creative departments. The 6-month program aims to provide an enriching experience, while ushering in a dynamic network of creative talent with fresh perspectives and a strong “maker-first” approach.
The Creative Fellowship experience differs across participants. Each Fellow will be placed on a Google creative team and work on real projects under that team’s guidance. Here are a few projects that past Creative Fellows have worked on, across four teams: Brand Studio, Creative Lab, Google Cloud Brand & Creative, and YouTube Creative Studio.
Brand Studio is a team of writers, art directors, designers, filmmakers, engineers, producers, and strategists focused on building the Google brand. We produce a range of creative work, including films, ad campaigns, and interactive experiences, that bring Google’s values to life for a global audience..
Role:
As a Motion Designer, you’ll support the Google Doodles team, combining contemporary design aesthetics with technical expertise in motion, 3D, and traditional animation. You’ll leverage a diverse toolkit to solve animation challenges across a broad spectrum of visual styles and illustration techniques, and you’ll be comfortable experimenting with AI technology to support your process. Your projects will span independent contributions, such as GIF animations for Doodles, to collaborations with a larger team on short-form videos. You will approach projects conceptually and demonstrate the versatility to develop original artwork, animate within existing creative assets, and execute designs that cohere with established systems.
