Dovetail Impact Foundation is looking for a Sourcing Manager to help us nd new partners
serving people experiencing extreme poverty through interventions with high potential for
impact at scale.

Job Summary
The Sourcing Manager will play a vital role in growing our international portfolio of
partners delivering scalable solutions for people experiencing extreme poverty. In this role,
you will be primarily responsible for growing, managing, and qualifying a strategic pipeline
of potential new partners across Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia, with a
strategic emphasis on 11 Priority Markets (Madagascar, Mozambique, DRC, Burundi,
Zambia, Niger, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Chad and Ethiopia) that have high
levels of extreme poverty.

Key Result Areas:
The Sourcing Manager will deliver the following key results:

1. Lead Research and Identication
● Conduct initial research to identify leads that align with Dovetail’s eligibility criteria.
● Alongside the Knowledge & Learning Manager, leverage and build networks of
funders, partners, accelerators, and other stakeholders to drive collaboration and
discover grantee leads.
● Work with the Knowledge & Learning Manager to monitor sector trends and emerging
areas within the foundation’s focus to identify promising sources for leads.
● Gather and document core information on each lead’s intervention and general t to
assess initial alignment with Dovetail’s priorities.

2. Lead Qualication and Screening
● Work alongside our Senior Leadership, Investment Directors, and Acceleration
Portfolio Manager to conduct pre-diligence vetting and qualication of partnership
leads, aligned with Dovetail’s granting strategy and criteria.
● Ensure a strategic ow of qualied leads into the prospect portfolios of International
Investment Directors.
● Foster positive, transparent interactions with leads, ensuring they feel respected and
well-informed through the initial qualication phase.

3. Pipeline Development and Management
● Support and strengthen Dovetail’s day-to-day lead and prospect management system,
ensuring timely team visibility on lead and prospect stage, qualication status etc.
● Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all leads and qualied prospects in Dovetail’s
pipeline management system, tracking key data points and interaction histories.
● Track key metrics, such as the number of qualied leads and timely handoffs, to
support continuous pipeline health and efcient management.

4. Data Management and Reporting
● Provide regular reports on sourcing activities, highlighting the number of qualied
prospects, handoff status, and any pipeline gaps or strengths.
● Use data insights to continuously improve qualication processes, such as rening
criteria based on trends and feedback from senior team members.

Travel:
● Expect to travel ~30% of the time, with 5-6 international trips per year.
Qualications:
● Fluent or high prociency in English and French – speaking and writing.
● 5-7 years of relevant experience, including successful partner or client relationship
management.
● Social sector acceleration, capacity building, entrepreneurship, or investment
experience is strongly preferred.
● International experience and cross-cultural uency are required.
● The ideal candidate is an “inbox zero” person.
● Excellent computer skills, including Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.), Excel,
Powerpoint, Zoom, and Salesforce.
